Woman ‘tricked ex out of £2.5k with sex fiend kidnap scam’

A WOMAN tricked her ex-boyfriend into paying her £2,500 by pretending she had been kidnapped by a sex fiend. Charlene Carasco, 30, sent messages to his phone begging for money in her bank account to pay a ransom. She wrote that a gangster had cut her arm and was doing “horrible things”, a court heard. Police were twice sent to investigate but found Carasco, of Northampton, safe and well. She was jailed for 12 months after admitting blackmail and fraud at the town’s crown court.
