Woman dies, children survive Dutse auto crash

A woman lost her life on Sunday while her three children sustained minor injuries in a motor accident on Dutse-Bwari road. A witness said the deceased was driving towards Dutse from Bwari when she lost controlas a result of brake failure.He said the Toyota Camry car which was conveying seven people two women, two men and three children  somersaulted severally before it finally plunged into a ditch, leaving the woman in an unconscious state while the children had minor injuries.


City News however learnt that the deceased died on the way to the Kubwa General hospital where she was being rushed to by the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).When contacted, the Dutse Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Henry Igwe, confirmed the accident, saying the corpse had been deposited at the hospital morgue. 

Similarly, another woman sustained serious eye injury in a motor accident that occurred in Phase 3, Kubwa.City News learnt that the victim was returning from the  church around 3pm with three of others in a private vehicle when the incident happened.The source said the driver of the vehicle who confessed he suffered visual challenge, lost control and veered of the road before it plunged into a gutter.

The source added that the vehicle’s windscreen was shattered, with its particles smashing on the face of the victim who was sitting in front of the car.City News gathered that all the passengers on board sustained injuries, and were rushed to different private hospitals while the woman was taken to Kubwa General hospital.The Kubwa Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Okonkwo Chima, confirmed the accident.
