US, Britain, others should support Buhari’s anti-graft war —Orji Uzo Kalu

Former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Kalu has challenged western countries to support the anti-corruption policies of the Muhammadu Buhari administration by exposing Nigerians known to have fleeced the country of its resources. Kalu who is himself facing corruption charges before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alleged that the commission which he said was originally conceived to fight corruption was turned into a political tool of the Olusegun Obasanjo administration.

Kalu  also faulted the approach of pro-Biafran protagonists as faulty saying that it would not help redress the genuine pains of Ndigbo in the polity. He said that the efforts of the Buhari administration may be the first genuine fight against corruption and thus charged the west to support the administration by providing every support that could help the administration in its quest. Speaking in Washington D.C, United States of America while receiving a delegation of graduate African students of the National War College, he  appealed to the western world to help Nigeria by exposing those Nigerians who have looted the country’s resources to invest and buy choice properties in Europe, USA, UAE, Asia and Middle East.

The former governor further  said: “The international intelligence agencies have a critical role to play in fishing out those that have stolen the common wealth of Nigerians.” Speaking on the pro-Biafra agitators, Kalu lamented the marginalization of the South East in all ramifications noting that 46 years after the civil war, the region has not been fully  integrated into the nation.
