Makeup brushes are of importance to our daily beauty routines. We paint, contour and highlight our faces with makeup brushes everyday but we cannot always say the same thing about how frequently we are cleaning those brushes.
Most women do not even understand the concept of cleaning their makeup brushes regularly. They believe that there's absolutely no need to worry about cleaning makeup brushes. These brushes when not cleaned, accumulate dirt that causes breakouts on faces. However, there are so many ways to clean up these brushes in order not to create room for buildup on these brushes that would lead to eventual breakouts on face.
According to beauty experts and dermatologists, we should ensure frequent washing of these makeup brushes. Most Dermatologists will tell you to soak your tools especially foundation and concealer brushes once a week - at a minimum to prevent product buildup. Because these brushes are used on your face, the cleaner they are, the better chances of avoiding breakouts on face.
Frequent cleaning don't just help you to keep your skin cleaner, soaking up your brsuhes regularly can extend the life of the bristles and make for a better makeup application.
THE RIGHT WAY TO CLEAN UP MAKEUP BRUSHES
* Wet the bristles with lukewarm water
* Place a drop of a cleanser of your choice which is Spirit cleanser
* Gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm.
* Rinse thorougly
* Squeeze the excess moisture out with a clean towel
* Let the brush to dry by hanging its bristle off the edge of a counter. Never let your brushes to dry on a towel to avoid mildew
