Indiana girl asks developmentally disabled boy to prom with a sweet Star Wars-themed promposal
A video captures a boy with a developmental disability accepting a girl's Star Wars-themed promposal. Brianna Nave, who attends Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, posted a video on Facebook showing her inviting Dell to attend the social event.Dell was taped in a classroom asking 'What happened?'Brianna soon approached him and gave Dell a cake and a bottle.
A photo on Brianna's Facebook revealed the cake featured two figures in a lightsaber battle, and asked if he would go to prom.Dell said: 'No way,' before jumping up and down saying 'I'm going to prom!'Brianna and Dell soon hugged in the classroom.'Thank you,' Dell said.
Brianna told him the cake was for him. Dell said: 'I will go to prom with you!' and hugged Nave once more. Another student presented him with several balloons. An off-camera voice asked 'That's a good day, huh, Dell?''Best day ever,' the boy replied.
Brianna told Fox 59: 'Everyone should be able to experience the excitement that comes with being asked to prom.' A lot of people have said it's nice, but I believe that it is simply doing the normal thing and showing honest care to everyone.' Dell is developmentally disabled and a fan of the space opera series, the TV station reported.
